1. Scope

This policy applies to the InsureUpStep website, browser workspace, account services, and related server APIs operated by UpStep. It describes personal information and agency data processed through those services.

InsureUpStep is a workspace for insurance agencies. It does not provide insurance, financial, tax, or legal advice.

2. Information we collect

Account information

When you register or sign in, we may collect your name, email address, mobile number, state, city, account role, password credentials, and sign-in provider. If you use Google sign-in, Google provides the account details permitted by your Google settings.

Agency and policy information

You may enter client, insured person, agent, branch, policy, nominee, premium, renewal, commission, follow-up, and related agency information. You may also upload profile or insured-person photographs where the service supports them.

Technical and usage information

Our server may receive IP address, browser and device details, request timestamps, session information, security events, and error information needed to operate and protect the service. We use essential cookies or session storage to keep you signed in and protect requests.

Messages

If you request an OTP, password reset, or other account message, we process the email address and verification details needed to deliver and validate that request.

3. How we use information

  • Provide, authenticate, maintain, and improve InsureUpStep.
  • Save and synchronize the agency records you choose to manage in the workspace.
  • Send OTPs, password-reset messages, service notices, and account communications.
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and security incidents.
  • Diagnose errors, monitor reliability, and comply with legal obligations.

We do not use your client or policy records to sell advertising or to build advertising profiles.

4. When we share information

We do not sell your personal information or agency records. We may share limited information with infrastructure, hosting, email delivery, and security providers; Google when you choose Google sign-in; law enforcement when legally required; or a successor during a business transfer.

5. Storage, retention, and security

We use access controls, authenticated sessions, protected server configuration, and reasonable technical and organizational safeguards. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

We retain account and agency information while your account or an active business relationship requires it, and longer where needed for security, dispute resolution, backups, or legal obligations.

6. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete personal information. Contact insureupstep@gmail.com for a privacy request. We may verify your identity before completing it.

7. Children and third-party services

InsureUpStep is intended for agency and professional use and is not directed to children. Third-party websites or services have their own privacy policies.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the service, law, or our processing practices change. We will post the updated version on this page and update the date above.
