1. Acceptance of these Terms
By accessing or using InsureUpStep, you agree to these Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. If you use InsureUpStep on behalf of an agency or organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms.
If you do not agree with these Terms, do not create an account or use the service.
2. The service
InsureUpStep provides browser and related API tools for organizing insurance agency information, including clients, insured persons, agents, policies, renewals, follow-ups, commissions, and branch details.
InsureUpStep is an administrative workspace. It does not sell insurance, issue policies, make underwriting decisions, or provide financial or legal advice.
3. Accounts and security
- Provide accurate information and keep it reasonably up to date.
- Keep your password, OTPs, session credentials, and devices secure.
- Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access or misuse.
- Use only accounts and agency workspaces you are authorized to access.
- Accept responsibility for activity performed through your account.
We may suspend or limit access when reasonably necessary to protect the service, users, or data, or when these Terms are violated.
4. Your data and permissions
You retain your rights in the client, insured-person, policy, photo, and other content that you submit. You give UpStep permission to host, process, transmit, back up, and display that content only as needed to provide, secure, support, and improve InsureUpStep.
You are responsible for obtaining all permissions required before entering another person's personal information, policy details, or photograph. Review records, dates, amounts, reminders, and reports before relying on them.
5. Acceptable use
You may not use the service unlawfully, bypass authentication, access another user's data, upload malware or infringing content, scrape or resell the service, reverse engineer it, or interfere with availability.
6. Availability, updates, and third parties
We aim to keep InsureUpStep available, but access may be interrupted for maintenance, security work, connectivity issues, hosting failures, or events outside our control. Offline or synchronized copies may not always be current.
The service may use third-party services such as Google sign-in, email delivery, hosting, or other integrations. Those services have their own terms and policies.
7. Ownership and intellectual property
InsureUpStep, its software, visual design, branding, text, and service materials are owned by or licensed to UpStep. These Terms give you a limited, non-exclusive right to use the service for authorized internal agency operations.
8. Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, InsureUpStep is provided on an “as available” and “as is” basis. We do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, complete, or suitable for every workflow. You remain responsible for professional decisions, compliance, backups, and verifying information.
To the extent permitted by law, UpStep will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from use of the service. Nothing excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
9. Termination
You may stop using InsureUpStep at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for a material breach, security risk, legal requirement, or discontinuation of the service.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when the service or applicable requirements change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
